The Ultra Open-Ear True Wireless Open Earbuds offer a comfortable and stylish open-ear listening experience prioritizing situational awareness, but suffer from sound quality limitations, software issues, and durability concerns. Their high price point makes them a questionable value proposition for many, despite their unique design and comfort.
The Ultra Open-Ear True Wireless Open Earbuds receive overwhelmingly negative feedback regarding volume. Users consistently report that the volume is insufficient, especially in noisy environments like gyms, outdoors, or on airplanes. Call volume is particularly problematic. While some find the volume adequate in quiet settings, the consensus is that these earbuds do not get loud enough for most practical use cases. Sound leakage becomes an issue when increasing the volume to compensate.

the volume was really quite Pleasant if
you're in a really loud environment like
loud still it almost feels like it's coming from further away like it's playing in the room versus just blasting
personally I don't feel like it's a huge issue when it comes to these earbuds I generally have the volume around 50% which for me is plenty to hear my music or my podcast or my conversation but it's low enough that if someone is standing next to me they can't really make out any words that are being said they might hear some audio coming from the earbuds but again it's not to the point that they can really tell what's being said now if you

that the bows are not going to go as loud in volume as the shocks let me show you I am now exactly 3 ft away from my microphone and these are the bows I'm going to put them at
one of the things that I was not too crazy about so far with these is the call Quality um audio so as I was talking to someone they could hear me really clearly but I found myself trying to raise the volume uh to get long long let's say louder audio to that phone call and I was not really satisfied I even found myself putting my fingers in my ears to see if that would help because I was thinking about bone conduction and that would work these are not bone conduction so it didn't do it so they weren't really loud enough for me and it could be that we need a firmware upgrade uh to to address that so we'll see what happens um in the future so that's the only complaint that I have great comfort great base mids and heists for something that's open ear and it's also situationally aware
given the nature of its design and its intended purpose I think it's actually quite impressive now I've used them extensively and have no complaints about the sound except for when I'm running or working out extra hard because you get to a point where your breathing and your heart rate is elevated so much that you essentially have to crank up the volume and I find that the highest level of volume that the bows offers is just not enough but when I'm not working out or running these actually sound really really good definitely better than any of the other open ear designs that I've tried in the past and like I said in the beginning if that's all you care about then that's pretty much all you need to know but again that's not the entire story so I'm going to talk about some of
