The Ultra Open-Ear True Wireless Open Earbuds offer a comfortable and stylish open-ear listening experience prioritizing situational awareness, but suffer from sound quality limitations, software issues, and durability concerns. Their high price point makes them a questionable value proposition for many, despite their unique design and comfort.
The Bose Ultra Open-Ear True Wireless Open Earbuds suffer from significant connectivity issues that overshadow their potential benefits. Users report frequent disconnections, difficulty pairing with devices (including iPhones, Android phones, Garmin watches, and laptops), and problems with multipoint functionality. While some users experience stable connections, the overwhelming consensus points to unreliable Bluetooth performance.

kind of a good workaround it works well
enough these dud these have Bluetooth
now this really worked well in our opinion we've tested with multiple devices and in the app you can also see that multipoint is Now supported so you have a little toggle that you can turn on and off and you can see your device list in the app as well and you can switch them off and on and as you can see they're now connected to my iPhone and to my my MacBook Pro so that's a feature that they've definitely improved so we're glad to see that
but the Bose do have massive connectivity with the Bose app where you

like the QC Ultra earbuds these currently don't have multipoint bluetooth pairing which allows you to
They also have physical button controls that allow you to control everything so you can play and pause you can skip tracks forward and backward and you can adjust your volume so it's always nice to be able to control everything directly from the earbuds themselves now another thing to mention is that these do not offer multi-point connection which is a feature that we've seen with a number of other open style earbuds as far as an IP rating these are ipx4 so sweat and light splashes of water should be just fine I will say if you sweat very very heavily you probably want to go with something with a higher rating especially considering the price point so let's go ahead and talk sound like I said in the beginning of the video when it comes to a pair of open style earbuds you're not expecting top tier sound quality the main benefits are comfort and the ability to stay in tune with your surroundings so it's people that spend a lot of time Outdoors uh whether they like to go walking jogging on Trails things of that nature they want to be able to listen to music or take a phone call or listen to a podcast and still hear what's going on around them that's the main benefit of an open style earbud sound is almost you know secondary and with these I mean the sound is okay I mean it's what you would expect uh you basically just have a little speaker there right next to your ear playing your audio honestly it's not anything special which again is partly to be expected now compared to other open style earbuds I wouldn't even put it towards the top there's definitely better options out there as far as sound quality goes I feel like you can get more bass you can get an overall Fuller sound from other options out there so it's definitely not the sound quality that you're paying for now similar to The Quiet Comfort Ultra these also have the new immersive audio feature which is basically spatial audio but with these being open style earbuds I don't think the average person is looking for spatial audio it's not even the best setup to experience spatial audio in the first place not to mention soundcore already has their own version of spatial audio that they introduced on their aoit Pro open style earbuds a couple months ago so the ultra open are not even the
Bose doesn't have a true multi-point connection it has a very impractical feature where through the earbuds you could toggle between devices that you've already connected to

so let's talk about the connectivity issue now y'all
the connection is mostly solid even though I have experienced momentarily signal dropouts and weird jumps in the sound here and there video
by the way you can have these paired with multiple devices but what you can't do is you cannot have them Auto or multi-point now they do claim that multi-point technology is going to be coming this year right so there's going to be a firmware upgrade that's going to enable it but right now you can pair them with multiple devices and what you'll do is you would basically uh select them on the other device for it to switch from one device to another so it's not going to do the auto switch but you can actually just tap it in the other device and it will connect so I did this with my pixel fold I did this with my my Samsung Galaxy fold I did it also with my s24 ultra and the cool thing about in the Google environment it's going to basically it will automatically have all of your devices will have basically the pairing there for you to connect
