Product Aspects

Recommendation-consider
Analyzing extensive user feedback reveals the Ultra Open-Ear True Wireless Open Earbuds offer a unique, though flawed, listening experience. Users consistently praise the comfortable design and situational awareness provided by the open-ear concept. However, significant concerns exist regarding sound quality, software reliability, and overall value, painting a picture of a product with potential overshadowed by notable drawbacks.

Comfort and Awareness

A major selling point is the earbuds' lightweight design, allowing users to maintain situational awareness while enjoying audio. The secure fit is also a positive, with many reporting they are suitable for various activities. The blend of comfort and environmental awareness makes them a compelling option for those prioritizing safety and connection to their surroundings. Plus, users prefer the physical buttons over touch-sensitive controls, citing them as more reliable.

Sound and Price Concerns

Despite the positives, the sound quality is a recurring point of criticism, with many describing it as lacking in bass and insufficient in noisy environments. Many users feel the high price is not justified by the sound performance and feature set. This sentiment is common across reviews, suggesting a significant discrepancy between user expectations and the actual listening experience.

Connectivity and Durability

Beyond audio, multiple users report experiencing connectivity problems and software glitches, including frequent disconnections and a buggy app. Reports of premature earbud failure and a flimsy charging case further compound the concerns about long-term reliability. These issues detract from the overall user experience and raise questions about the product's durability.

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, the Ultra Open-Ear True Wireless Open Earbuds are a mixed bag, the open-ear design and comfort is beneficial, but sound quality and reliability is questionable. Potential buyers should carefully weigh the importance of situational awareness and comfort against the limitations in sound, connectivity, and durability. These earbuds are better suited for users who prioritize environmental awareness over high-fidelity audio and are willing to overlook potential software and hardware issues.

battery life
like I said earlier these are extremely comfortable so you can wear these for hours at a time and as far as battery life you're looking at roughly 7 and 1/2 hours on a single charge and then the charging case will give you an additional 19 1/2 hours roughly now keep in mind those numbers are with the immersive audio feature turned off so you could very well wear these for an entire 8 hour day all right so as you

the feature to both the QC ulter year Buds and this model and I'd expect to see a firmware upgrade

in terms of the build quality they do feel like they could take quite a beating they have this kind of uh I think it's rubber connecting the weight thing on the back with the driver and that does feel like it could take quite a bit of stick and the case is brilliant

what's not cool on the bows is the slight White Noise you hear when listening to the buds at lower vol volumes in quiet areas shout out to benzo 97 for drawing our attention to that one and playing Spotify and YouTube music was fine but when you play a YouTube video on an iPhone the buds play a tune that it only does when you start a phone call that's annoying because you miss a little part of the video every time since you first hear that tune and

portability
however the Bose open Ultra earbuds case is significantly smaller than Bose's other cases but this case is still larger than other earbuds cases but more importantly this case is going to be less noticeable when it's in your pocket than these other Bose cases but again it's going to be more noticeable than let's say the air Force case but
aesthetic and style
I've ever used the Bose open earbuds
comfort and fit
The earbud sits at about a 45-degree angle on your ear, although you can slide it up or down slightly for comfort.
transparency
Bose Ultra opens let me make it very clear you regardless if you do it at 50%
sound quality
they do feature Bose's immersive audio for music spatialization that's the same feature found in the QC Ultra earbuds
battery life
bit less if you have immersive mode on without active noise cancellation I was
controls and features
For example, the Open Earbuds Ultra have a button on the barrel which sits behind the ear, which does give you music and call controls, but no swipe gestures controlling the volume like the QC Ultra.
firmware and software
pretty simple it's a classic Bose app here as we're used to we have modes
durability and build quality
if you drop them in a puddle it's not ideal but for rain and sweat and stuff
bass
the base is okayish and cranking it up in the EQ barely did much but yes you do get a 3band EQ in the app to do some tweaking you can also turn on auto volume in the app which will adjust the volume based on your environment it'll Crank It Up in noisy places and turn it down when it's quiet
volume
so now let's do a little sound test now I got a classic song queued up we got Stephanie Mills you're putting a rush on me I'm going to start off at maximum volume
